A Letter to Juliet Capulet

I was broken hearted.
And you’re so stupid.
I didn’t love you
so we could die together.
I loved you
so we could live together.

But I understand.

Just like many other girls out there,
you think that true love hurts.
Love has ups and downs,
but it doesn’t hurt.

Just like many other girls out there,
you think being in love
means being stupid together.
I loved you, but I’m not stupid.

I faked my death
so the world would think
that I am a love hero, just like you.
I am sorry.

I am still alive,
and I have moved on.
I just didn’t want you
to get all the spotlight yourself.

Now I am married to a girl
her name is Juleha Kapulaga.
Her skin isn’t as fair as you,
but she can make gado-gado and sayur asem.

Farewell, deceased Miss Capulet.
Thank you for making me, Romeo Montague, famous.
Do not repeat the same mistake
in the place where you are now.

Do not be irrational,
no matter how deeply you are in love.
Do not insult God
who gives you the brain to think.

Do not sue me.
Sue Shakespeare,
and everyone who is stupidly in love.
Just like you.
